Zoo Tycoon Computer Game? I heard recently from a friend that they found a Zoo Tycoon 2 game in Target with all of the expansions from the original Zoo Tycoon and more included for only half its price. I searched Target, Bestbuy, Circuit City, and Gamestop (all local game stores) online and none of them have the Zoo Tycoon 2 only an extinct version or something like that. I bought Windows 7 from Microsoft through Windows Marketplace, only a download and no backup media. It works great. However, according to Microsoft’s anti-piracy website, it’s not considered genuine if it has no product key! Did I just buy pirated software directly from Microsoft? My e-reader, sony prs-600, froze when I went to turn it on. Starting today, my volume control has been totally wacked. It randomly kept adjusting itself, with the sensor popping up as if I were doing it myself on the buttons above the keyboard; but I wasn’t. I turned the volume up, and it ended up setting itself back down all the way. I tried restarting my computer - it’s not doing the same thing, but now when I try to use my touchbutton thing above the keypad, it won’t go up - it keeps it all the way down (if the sensor comes on the screen at all). so, my dad bought a blu-ray HDMI cable, to hook my laptop up to my TV. so it was great, it worked out and everything, and then i took the cabl out of my laptop. when i try to use my webcam the computer still thinks its connected so a box pops up saying, HP Mediasmart Webcam does not support a screen resolution smaller than 1024×768 i neeeed my webcam program, and sometimes the sound cant be heard, and when you go to sound optio you can disconnect from it but theres nothing for my webcam? i reallly need help asap. firstly, itunes is a program, not a operating system. No machine runs itunes. It’s called OS X. The Apple Tablet is running a customized iphone OS. For some reason while I had windows vista, I started to get blue screens constantly. I than installed windows xp and the computer was a’lot faster but still, I got the blue screens. There are no viruses on my computer. I’ve recently discovered that the a virus (Infopass.Gamestealer to be specific) has somehow made its way onto my flash drive. It is most likely from a computer I share with the other four hundred or so at my school, but I’m unsure how to remove the virus as Norton (Yes, I realize that it’s terrible in terms of virus detection, but it’s all I have.) isn’t detecting it when I scan the drive. As a result of this virus being on my frequently used flash drive, I’ve managed to let it drop some malware (Hacktool.Rootkit) onto my personal computer. Norton only ever detects this one when I turn my PC on and never catches it during any of my scans of the computer. Okay..I’m totally a newb at this and I don’t really know much about what’s going on in my computer, but one day I was playig sims 2 and my computer shut down and restarted, and so I didn’t really make a big deal out of it until it kept happening. Then yesterday my comp started being extremely slow. I thought I had some type of virus so I tried doing a virus scan, and while waiting for that to finish I installed mAlwarebytes and got it installed but for some reason it didn’t run. So I installed adwarebot and did a scan and it showed me over 500 infected files and I removed them all. Then I tried turning off the automatic restarting thing, then suddenly I got the BSOD, saying I had the driver_irql_not_less_or_equal. And I have no idea what that means, and basically I haven’t been able to find out what the problem was because whenever I try to do I virus scan I can’t succesfully finish it wihout my comp restarting randomly. i have a problem with my internal HDD. When this all happened, i was playing a game online. I got a Virus Worm and i shut down my computer and reformatted my HDD and put windows back on. I had a secondary HDD in for back-up purposes. so got windows in and put everything back, but i then noticed that my computers performance went down drastically with my main HDD, I could not copy anything i had onto the back-up drive and once i did it was so slow to copy the file. Once i had all the files on the back-up drive, i decided to start from the back-up drive with windows. Same applied. It was really slow with the reading-and-writing. i decided to take the secondary back-up drive out and boot from the main HDD. Everything seemed to be running smoothly i checked the main HDD Temperature with HD tune. The drives temp was 37 degrees Celsius, and the drive went to normal temperature of 43-44 degrees Celsius. I then decided to plug in the secondary HDD and leave it on for a day. the temperature went from 43-44 degrees to 47-48 degrees Celsius. So my guess is that the HDD drives are getting way to hot, and i am getting what seems like bad sectors in the drive, but it has never done this before. I have always had my back-up drive in ever since i got my main HDD. I can’t place my finger on what is wrong with my drives. Once the main HDD is lower temperatures the drive seems to be performing better. but its normal temperature is 43-44 degrees Celsius and i still have some problems with reading and writing then. Can someone tell me what has happened please. I dont know if it was from the worm virus or if the temperatures are getting too hot (but has never done this before) can someone tell me what to do. I have changed the line leading into the motherboard as well, and that seems to have no effect. i even swapped the board lines between the CD drives and the HDD drives, no effect on that either. can someone tell me what is going on, i have ran out of options. today a friend downloaded a .txt file on my computer and i later looked at it and it said it was about 8.4mb… which is incredibly large for a text file. i did put it into microsoft word and it said there was about 30,000 pages and roughly 1million words if that helps… but i just don’t know if there could somehow be a keylogger or virus hidden in that .txt file seeing it was so large.. i use firefox, and when to the downloads window and right clicked the original download, but it did not allow me to open the file or open the containing folder… i deleted it off of the downloads window i did a full virus scan on my computer and nothing came up- i also tried to do a system restore but it told me my anti virus program was preventing it from working. i disabled my anti-virus program and tried it again but system restore still didn’t work. i use norton anti-virus. long story short, from the information provided, i would like to know if i could possibly have a keylogger on my computer, how to detect it and how to remove it. thank you very much. I think i have a virus or hijacker or something in my computer as for the past few weeks every website i go on has the same advertisment whereever the advertisments are its for pills. Also when i search for something on like gooogle ect or anything and i click on something like a link it dosent bring up the right link half of the time. I went to turn my laptop on this afternoon and nothing came up on the screen. I can hear the computer booting up but the screen remains black. A few weeks ago one of the hinges on the computer that connects the screen to the bottom popped up but I was able to push it back into place. It appears to be dented but is still able to open and close. Could this hinge issue have caused the screen to go black? I haven’t had a single problem with the screen before now (no drops) and the screen was working just fine this morning when I left the apartment. What can be done to fix this issue besides replacing the screen? Any suggestions (besides taking it to a professional - I want to attempt to fix it here if possible). Thanks!

The red is flashing regularly but no flash from the green LED what so ever, i have a motherboard M4A78L-M and i believe i did not connect something correctly, if anyone can assist i would appreciate it. When woke up my computer this morning, everything was black and white, or greyscale. I have tried restarting my computer as it had this issue before, only it didn’t stay as greyscale, and i also disconnected the monitor from the computer and put it back in. How do i fix this problem??

Hi, I want to start freelancing in CAD design and draughgting and I need to get a suitable desktop computer. I considered getting a laptop but all info to date suggests a pc would be much more suitable. When I Right click on the Folder it opens the Folder showing all the emails. When I Right click it also shows a drop-down window with choices for New Folder, Rename, Remove, Mark All Read, Empty Spam and Empty Trash. It does not give me an option to Copy. How do you copy a Folder if you can’t Right Click?

Laptop: Lenovo Y410 OS: win XP sp3 AntiVirus: Norton Internet Security 2009 Back in the Philippines, I was using my laptop normally. No problems. I could connect to the internet, download stuff with p2p, etc. About a week ago, we arrived in Las Vegas and have been living with my uncle’s. I was enjoyed his really really fast internet (well, compared to my connection back in the Philippines, It was incredibly fast). I was able to download stuff of interest and also surf normally. The problem occurred after I visited a pornsite (and I’ve been visiting this pornsite back then so, I had confidence that It didn’t pose a threat to my system) (and please, I don’t give a **** about what you think about me If I visit porn sites) My laptop started hanging. I have to hold the power button just to turn it off. Usually, windows would show an error that “the laptop didn’t turn off properly” blah blah… It didn’t. After my next attempts of rebooting the laptop, about 5 minutes into operation, it would slow down, and after a few seconds, it would freeze and after trying to run task manager, it would sound off a loud beep that wouldn’t end unless I turn off the laptop by holding the power button. This happens when I’m connected to the net. This also happens when I’m not connected but gives my laptop more normal run time, and eventually hangs. I tried running system restore, It said that “it couldn’t help solve the problem”. I tried running system restore while in safe mode and it was successful. I rebooted back into normal and the same problem occurred (hang, loud beep). I tried doing a system scan in safemode (since in normal mode, it would hang right away), and it found 1 threat (mebroot) and said (Norton) to have resolved it. Fortunately, I had a back up OS (win XPsp3 again installed on a separate partition). I ran it, and connected to the internet. I surfed to google, fry’s, target, (since I was shopping for stuff). After about 20 minutes into browsing, the same thing happened to my laptop (without browsing porn). It hanged, and sounded a loud beep again. My laptop is a year old, and warranty doesn’t cover it any more. I want to know if I’m having hardware problems or software problems. Thanks! Happy New Year! I have Verizon High Speed Internet. Wireless, DSL. I have a Modem. Both my laptop and computer are Windows Vista. HP. I know it as nothing to do with my computer becasue i’m usuing a new Laptob and My computer is not the problem, both are Very fast, and clean, No spyware or viruses. I am currently using IE7. Even my M Firefox is slow. I download Google chrome and its still slow. I double checked, my wires they are all secure there are no loose wires. I have a Linksy Router, and it is secured with WPA-PSK. I know no one hacked in, so thats not the case for slow ness. Also, You know how a Modem has green, blinking lights. Sometimes My Internet goes a way, the internet light gos away for minutes or an hour, then the Internet comes back. Its frustrating. My friend has the same Internet as me…she lives a couple doors away…and her Internet is like lightning very fast….AND NO she does not have fios…her internet is the same. as mines. It seems avira can’t open and scan the files containing the virus, ive tried spybot, but it only removes spyware and not the virus itself. I have a gateway mx6421 with windows xp I keep getting the blue death screen which does not stay up long enough for me to get an error code. I have tried to uninstall drivers remove programs and system restore and none have worked. I have tried reinstalling windows xp and it states I am running a newer version (which isn’t true). I have done virus scans, disc scans and the blue screen as usual shuts the computer down. I would do a system recovery however I do not have the disc (gateway did not give them) I have tried preforming it from the D drive however once I put in the operating disc which came with the computer it makes it to 18% and the damn blue screen shuts it down. The same day I uninstalled IE8 because it wasn’t displaying pages correctly Zone Alarm Firewall popped up an alert stateing IE was trying to access the internet - after I uninstalled it. I hit the deny button, but needless to say, I’m a little confused here. I’m running Windows XP SP3 on an HP Pavilion d4100e with Avira & ZA anti-virus suites & Windows Defender (they all seem to get along OK) & I run daily anti-virus scans. I uninstalled IE8 using “Add/Remove Windows Components” in the “Add/Remove Programs” feature of Control Panel. Does anyone out there have a clue? I’m posting this before trying my own Google search. Trying to figure out what’s going on with my parents’ PC…every so often they can hear a radio broadcast from their PC speakers. Always some infomercial or asian talk show. I’ve tried going through all their running programs, removed the extension cords, disconnected the broadband but you can still hear it. This just started a few months ago. I’ve run virus scans, AdAware, HijackThis, etc. coming up with nothing every time. I’ve been to all the sites to help out with removing the program however they all request that I change the LAN settings. I do this but seconds later they get automatically changed back. I’ve had my laptop a little over 3 years and it’s been slowing down over the years. For example, it takes a couple minutes to open Mozilla Firefox. I know it has to do with all of the junk on my hard drive, but I don’t know how to go about cleaning it out. Should I completely wipe out my computer and start anew? If so, - will I have to re-order/ pay for programs such as Norton Antivirus? - will I need to install another copy of Microsoft Office/ buy a new version? My home is only 1400 feet away from a 733 foot, 50,000 watt radio tower and another smaller radio tower next to it. In the past, I’ve had problems with my garage door opening with the remote. Now, my new computer is acting up. Sometimes when I start it up it just gets to the desktop and doesn’t load anything. No matter what I click nothing loads or happens. I scanned it with 3 different anti-virus/spyware programs and nothing was found. The room its in has a window facing directly at the towers. I got a virus in my computer, the virus randomly poops up websties when im online, or when i click on a link fro example a link from somthing i googled it send me to this ramdom pages. My internet explorer also keeps on saying that there was an error so it keeps shutting down. I already scaned my compuer several times and all it catches is a tracking cookie, It never picks up any virus. Also one of the sities that popped up was about norton popping up sites and had people’s comments of how annoying that was. It was a Norton site(wich pooped up too) I dont know if that is even relevant to this. Out of no where. I keep getting messages that pop up stating that my computer is infected, danger, attention, etc… then it tells you to download or continue unprotected. Uniblue does make a AntiSpyware for computers called Spy Eraser. However as this one appears to be legite, its comprimising my computer. After searching for the file I found it not as a program on the computer, but as a file in System32. Every two minutes those messages come up. I can not exit the program or disable it. It appears as if its a legitimate program, an icon on the bar next to the clock and one implanted on the desk top. However I ran all my spyware programs, anti-virus’ programs and id failed to detect it. So I instaled MalwareBytes and it found it, and removed it. I ran it twice and everything else twice. Three hours later while the computer was siting, the message popped up. The icon reappeared on the desktop. The message continues every two minutes. Each message is similar but a little different from the rest. However it never changes its motive. I ran MalwareBytes again, it detected the infected files. So I did some research and found that I should use a program called RegCure to eliminate the rest of the files that were not being removed under the registry. It found 1242 infected files, and fixed them. However, I still find myself in the same boat. However I was told that I may not need to re-install the Windows, XP. Well, I’m not too sure it’s a trojan horse but it’s what I think. Anyways, one of my friends messaged me on msn saying, “is this you ? lol” then gave me a link. I clicked on it and it was one of those things where you have to download it. So I did. (I know, I’m very gullible D:) So I went back on msn, the computer was doing tthings automatically by itself. Everytime I tried to message someone, as soon as I start typing, it sends the same thing. “is this you ? lol” then the link. It then starts sending to every single person who’s online on my list. I shut down my laptop and I try again. It still keeps doing the same thing on my msn. The trojan horse is in my msn. Should I get rid of this virus by completely deleting my whole windows live messenger and reinstalling it again? I’m trying to get the simplest ways to get rid of this virus, besides restoring my laptop. Also can I have simple explanations with not too big words? I’m not really that intelligent, haha. o.k. this thing called security tool kept popping up and telling me all these viruses I had on the computer. Well now it completely blanked out my screen making it the only thing visible and everytime I try presing Ctrl + Alt + Delete to go to my task manager it blocks it off with a virus pop up!!! Hey, i have been having alot of problems wit my CPU and its been very slow and i keep getting those Online Spam pop ups where you get those fake virus scans. I also have problems downloading Programs and opening and using certin programs. It ether doesnt open or cant find certin programs. Hi Ok my grandma got a new desktop a few weeks ago, it came with a free trial of McAfee which I installed for her no probs (have it myself at home) She already bought a different antivirus package (Bulldog?) which I was going to install when the McAfee trial was up. Anyway my little brother has been up for xmas and since there’s only a few days of the McAfee trial left thought he would install it now for her. Since then the pc goes on to the desktop and thats about it, it wont let me open anything in the controll panel and cant get on the internet. It wont even turn off so have to do it by the button! Its as if its loading up constantly but doesnt do anything at all. I’m pretty sure it’s cos of the 2 antivirus software together am I right? How do I sortr it? I am running Windows XP SP3 and am connected to the internet through a Comcast modem and Belkin router. It says my internet connection is excellent and this problem does not occur on the other laptop in the house. I have tried many things and there are no viruses or firewall problems. I decided to run IE’s diagnostic thing. It said there was some problem, that I was told could be solved by using Winsock XP Fix (because whenever IE tried to fix it, it claimed it fixed it and to restart my computer, but then when I would restart, the problem would still occur and be detected). After using Winsock XP Fix, the problem stopped for a few hours, but is now back again and this program does not solve it anymore. Any help is appreciated, thank you. I have a Dell Inspiron 530 with Vista. I downloaded a MS word file which was attached to an email (no viruses, as far as I know). I then right clicked on the icon and renamed the file. A new icon with the new name appeared, and works fine to open the file. The old icon remained on the desktop and will neither open nor delete. When I try to open it it asks what program to use (even though it’s a .doc), I pick Word, then nothing happens. When I try to drag it to the recycle bin it says it’s no longer located on the desktop and I need to verify its location. It says its size is 0 bytes. today a friend downloaded a .txt file on my computer and i later looked at it and it said it was about 8.4mb… which is incredibly large for a text file. i did put it into microsoft word and it said there was about 30,000 pages and roughly 1million words if that helps… but i just don’t know if there could somehow be a keylogger or virus hidden in that .txt file seeing it was so large.. i use firefox, and when to the downloads window and right clicked the original download, but it did not allow me to open the file or open the containing folder… i deleted it off of the downloads window i did a full virus scan on my computer and nothing came up- i also tried to do a system restore but it told me my anti virus program was preventing it from working. i disabled my anti-virus program and tried it again but system restore still didn’t work. i use norton anti-virus. long story short, from the information provided, i would like to know if i could possibly have a keylogger on my computer, how to detect it and how to remove it. thank you very much. So I got a new computer in the middle of October, it is a Toshiba Satellite A500/040, came with Windows vista Home premium. I got a Windows 7 upgrade disc that is only for my computer. I have upgraded my Laptop to windows 7 and am now having troubles… I think I picked up a few viruses and I am wanting to re-install windows to get my laptop back to normal. I have Windows 7 Ultimate installed in my HCL laptop. Last month i was encrypting my external hard disk with “bit locker drive encryption”. It started normally, but suddenly after 49%, it stuck, displaying an error: “An error occurred. This disk has one or more errors, run chkdsk/r, if the error persist this may be indicative of a hardware fault…” I then thought to decrypt my data back and to disable the protection. When I tried doing this, after some time my PC hanged and the operation got aborted. When I restarted my system, i found that the disk is not being detected. It is not shown in “computer”, although the disk lights were on. I tried running the hard disk in “Ubuntu OS”, it works there, but all my data is encrypted. My hard disk is absolutely fine and OK. There is no problem with hardware and no virus is there in my PC as well. What to do now? How can i get my data back and how can i decrypt my harddisk? Please help, since this data worths me a lot. I think Limewire is simply a Peer to Peer program for file sharing. If that’s right then surely you can get a virus if the person you get a file from has it. Video files do not contain viruses. I have been running the free version of AVG for years but it has been causing problems with Internet Explorer 8. I solved it by replacing my AVG with BT Net Protect but now my father is having the same problem and his ISP doesn’t provide any security software. I’ve always had no problems with getting internet on my computer. Now I can’t connect. I’ve checked and everything is plugged in. I don’t think it is a problem with the cables because I don’t get the message “Local cable disconnected”. All the other computers in my house are working fine. I think that something is wrong with the actual computer. I had a trojan (InternetSecurity2010) before that happened, maybe that has something to do with it? I’ve tried Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari. Other odd things are happening too…after a few hours or so none of the applications will work (iTunes, microsoft word, etc) and a lot of the words start to disappear. Likeee, the start button at the bottom left corner doesn’t say start, it just is a green blob and when you click on it, it only shows the picture for each application. I’ve run spybot and malwarebytes scans and they both came up with nothing. I dont have any actual antivirus to run because I was in the middle of downloading Kaspersky Anti Virus when it happened and whenever I put in the code, it says that it can’t download because it can’t access the internet. Alright, today it seems like my mom’s computer has a virus attack… so I just try to find a way to fix it, but i can’t, why? BECAUSE EVERY SINGLE PROGRAM IS INFECTED. I deleted norton virus since my account already expired. So I borrowed my brother’s Mcafee and installed it to my computer. I’ve had my laptop for approximately two years and all of a sudden it has started to shut down constantly. I downloaded freeware to catch viruses, etc., and it cleaned my laptop up, but the problem still persists. It’s really starting to frustrate me!!!!!!! I don’t know if this is an overheating problem or what I should do if it’s that or an internal problem. Any advice? For some reason while I had windows vista, I started to get blue screens constantly. I than installed windows xp and the computer was a’lot faster but still, I got the blue screens. There are no viruses on my computer. I don’t know much about fixing computers, so hopefully I won’t have to take something out or whatever inside my computer, im hoping I can just fix this problem by doing something ON the computer. ***The blue screens will only appear if I basically have alot of graphic material running on the computer, such as if I start a game, play a move, or video on youtube. i have an Dell Inspiron desktop with a wireless adapter already inside it. it was working fine until i wipe my hard drive (system recovery) because it had a virus and now i cant get it to work.i do not have the in stall disc either but i tried downloading the driver, and i went into the device manager and it had a yellow exclamation point uninstalled it but now when i restart my pc it will not pop up to install new hardware and when i go to manuelly install it it there’s like five other wireless adapters so i installed them all and it still doesn’t work. My uncle took my computer to get it fixed after it got hit with a hard virus last year. he said there should be a virus protection on it, but i can’t find it anywher, I want to run a virus scan because something popped up telling me i have a virus. my computer properties is showing that it is manufactured and supported br DARWIN-SYSTEM ENGINEER. This change has occured only a few weeks before. I have a gateway mx6421 with windows xp I keep getting the blue death screen which does not stay up long enough for me to get an error code. I have tried to uninstall drivers remove programs and system restore and none have worked. I have tried reinstalling windows xp and it states I am running a newer version (which isn’t true). I have done virus scans, disc scans and the blue screen as usual shuts the computer down. I would do a system recovery however I do not have the disc (gateway did not give them) I have tried preforming it from the D drive however once I put in the operating disc which came with the computer it makes it to 18% and the damn blue screen shuts it down. I’ve had my laptop a little over 3 years and it’s been slowing down over the years. For example, it takes a couple minutes to open Mozilla Firefox. I know it has to do with all of the junk on my hard drive, but I don’t know how to go about cleaning it out. Should I completely wipe out my computer and start anew? If so, - will I have to re-order/ pay for programs such as Norton Antivirus? - will I need to install another copy of Microsoft Office/ buy a new version? hello, well my problem is the following. Yesterday I was on my Myspace home page, and out of nowhere I got a Avg alert of a worm virus. Also known as worm32 netsky. I did everything possible to remove this virus. I think I got it removed because before that instead of a wallpaper I had a green background and a bold red text saying ” system infected” I know this worm32 netsky is a fake virus. I refer, is a virus saying you got viruses and it opens your internet browsers getting you to buy some anti-virus products. Well, getting to my problem. It seems I dont have that worm32 netsky virus. But now if I go to google, bing, or any other search engine.
